REPAIR invisible repair
The Seiko CW-1 darning machine is legendary for repairing tears or holes in jeans. By using a fine, dyed cotton yarn, the darned area is barely visible and wonderfully restores the stability of the original fabric. No additional fabric is used in this type of repair. Rather, the denim is imitated by a braid of thin yarns.
SASHIKO REPAIR visible repair
Holes and cracks can also be made more visible. The Sashiko techniques create wonderful hand seams, which are usually worked into decorative patterns. In addition, other fabrics can be underlaid at the holes and tears in order to obtain a colored detail.
HEMMING Cuts in jeans
For all Ruttloff jeans we offer a free shortening with the Union Special 33500 G. The shortening of jeans from other brands is also possible.

LINED HEM Cuts from denim
An alternative to the classic shortening is the “lined hem”. A usually colored fabric is sewn as a line in the hem. This processing of jeans from other brands is also possible.
TAPERING Tapering jeans
A tapering describes a narrowing of the leg width, especially in the hem area of a pair of jeans. A special technique is required to renew the inner felled seam. The Union Special 35800 DQ is used here, the design of which is perfectly suited to this technology.
