Tapering describes a precise narrowing of the leg width, especially at the hem of jeans. The special feature of this demanding alteration is that it is implemented with the original inseam and original hem, thus not affecting the outseam – usually the selvage. To professionally renew the inner flat-felled seam, I use the special Union Special 35800 DQ machine.
