General Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Application

All deliveries and services are based exclusively on these General Terms and Conditions (GTC). We only recognize diverging customer conditions if we have expressly confirmed their validity in writing.

3. Conclusion of Contract

Our offers in the online shop are non-binding and do not constitute a legally binding offer.

A purchase contract is only concluded when we accept the buyer's order by sending an order confirmation via email or by delivering the goods. A prerequisite for an effective contract conclusion is that the ordering process via the online shopping cart system has been completed correctly.

4. Prices and Shipping Costs

  • The prices stated at the time of order in Euros, including statutory VAT, apply.
  • Shipping costs will be stated separately.
  • Any import duties, customs duties or other fees for deliveries outside Germany are borne by the buyer.

5. Delivery

a) Stock Goods

  • Delivery time within Germany: 1–3 working days
  • Shipping is via DHL or another service provider to the delivery address or packing station specified by the customer.

b) Custom-made or Custom Jeans

  • Delivery time within Germany: 20–30 working days
  • Shipping is also via DHL or a service provider chosen by us.

6. Payment Methods

Payment is made using the payment methods offered in the ordering process, which are supported by our Shopify shop.
Currently these may include:

  • Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • PayPal
  • Sofortüberweisung / Klarna / Apple Pay / Google Pay

The customer selects the desired payment method when completing the order. Payment processing is carried out via the secure systems offered by the respective payment provider.

7. Retention of Title

The goods remain the property of Ruttloff-Jeans until full payment.

8. Transport Damage

Please report obvious transport damage immediately to the delivery person and inform us without delay. Missed claims do not affect your legal rights, but they facilitate the enforcement of claims for damages against the transport service provider.

9. Material Defects, Care and Returns

  • Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal (§§ 312d, 355 BGB).
  • Excluded from the right of withdrawal are individually manufactured products (custom-made and custom jeans) and products that have been modified according to customer requests (e.g. shortenings other than standard length 36).
  • Obvious defects must be reported immediately, at the latest within 14 days of receipt of the goods, in writing.
  • We are liable for material defects according to the statutory provisions (§§ 434 ff. BGB).
  • Color deviations, size deviations of up to ±3 %, and normal signs of wear do not constitute a claim for defects.
  • Returns within the withdrawal period must be borne by the consumer.

10. Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction

  • German law applies to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
  • The place of performance is the business address of Ruttloff-Jeans.
  • The contract language is German.

11. Alternative Dispute Resolution

  • Online dispute resolution according to Art. 14 para. 1 ODR-VO: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
  • Consumers can contact the General Consumer Arbitration Board of the Zentrum für Schlichtung e.V., Straßburger Str. 8, 77694 Kehl, Germany.
  • We participate in dispute resolution proceedings before this body.
